Yep. "hugo" is my Internet nickname (and actually BBS nickname) from old ages. Actually "hugo" is a character of an old computer game, Hugos House of Horror. I had the habit to name temporary variables in programs and small snippets not foo, bar, baz, but hugo ('s house of horror), horace (the spider) and jill (of the jungle). So when I needed to give my very first UUCP connected system a system name, I couldn't think of something at once and just choosen my usual default first placeholder, "hugo". That created the host hugo.ms.open.de, later hugo.westfalen.de.
It stuck to me over all the years, so nowadays I show up on IRC and other places as hugo. Even though my full name is Georg Ludwig Bauer and there is no hugo in my family, at least none I am aware of. :-)
