Strange w3m screenshot

I tried the w3m text-mode web browser. It suddenly started displaying images inside my konsole window!

How the heck did that happen??? Not even the w3m webpage suggests it can do that :-)

And yes, that's just a plain old konsole (it works on xterm, too), and I am running w3m-0.3.2.2-5

Hehe, priorities are weird. Javascript and inline images, but no frames :-)

Georg Bauer / 2006-04-03 07:06:

Sure it can. There is a package that adds some plugin to w3m to use X decoration-less windows to put images over the xterm window. So actually you are looking at several windows at once, but you just don't notice, as they push the little image windows around when you scroll the w3m content. This is a rather cute and fun hack, I think :-)
