What I am writing

Well, if you are one of the 6 who actually checked the link in the previous entry, you will know I am writing a news aggregator ;-)

It is progressing quickly. Now it is almost a real application, and only 3 or 4 important features are still missing.

The only thing I wish is that there was a KDE 3.1 python binding, since I would need it to use KHTML :-(

Qt's QTextBrowser is nice, but it is not a HTML rendering engine, and it would give it a nice integrated feel. Ok, eventually PyKDE 3.1 will come out, I suppose :-)

PS: if you follow the Pictures link on the left side, you can see a new screenshot!

May be one of those days you could blog a bit about your choice of app names? KRN, KRsN, I am detecting a pattern here :-)

Hmm. If you put your smileys in "" - ":-)" - you would get images in your postings, if you had loaded the default shortcuts :-)

Oh, and we should make up our mind about wether new software (and releases) should go to topicexchange "tools" or "software". At least this would prevent the impression that I have a channel for my own ;-)

Ok, the names....

KRN theorically means KDE Read News, and it followed the tradition of rn, trn, slrn, etc. But then again, my girlfriend at the time was called Karen, so, it had a second purpose (and girls love having things named after them ;-)

Now KRsN means KDE Read streaming News, and it is mostly chosen to make me remember I dropped KRN and shouldn't have (on the other hand, Karen dropped me, and she shouldn't have either ;-)

Georg: I prefer low-tech smileys ;-) And why don't we put the announcements on both topics?
