Review:

This short story collection is all sorts of good. Sadly I ran out of China Mieville to read, I will have to find some more.

Review:

Happy to read another New Crobuzon book. It seems to me that the world there is getting just a tad too weird, it seems that everything is there, adding new sentient races as needed, with exactly the talents required for the plot.

However, the plot itself moves forward nicely and the ending is pretty good (and that has been a Mieville weakness in some earlier books).

All in all, liked it a lot.

Review:

I didn't know there were other New Crobuzon books other than Perdido Street Station, which I really enjoyed, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

I didn't like it *quite* as much as Perdido Street Station, but that's just because I liked that other one so much.

Gripping world building, nice plot, too. The characters are maybe a little too on the "misterious stranger" style, but hey, it's China Mieville so that was to be expected.

Review:

I started reading this on Heathrow, coming back from London to Argentina. Good thing I didn't read it while on London, or it would have totally freaked me out. Since the trip is long (3 days and counting because of a volcano), I read it pretty much in one sitting. A page turner, and a damn good read.
